Happy Fathers Day!

On Saturday this weekend we got together with my siblings and parents to celebrate Dad.  This was the first time since I've been married that I got to actually spend time with my dad for fathers day, not just a phone call.  It was nice.  On Sunday we hung out just our family and enjoyed Udine. 

Summer Fun

This is why I love summer!!  Yesterday we met up with all the cousins at Peter and Amanda's house.  It was great.  The kids did the slip n slide, played in a kiddie pool, played on the playground, ran through sprinklers and played whatever other games they could make up.  While us adults hung out in the shade with a beautiful view in their back yard while still being able to see all of the kiddos doing their thing.  So much fun.  Jamie and baby Ellie even made a surprise visit at the end and we all got to ooh and ahh over the precious little baby.

Dogs

I have a new pet peeve and it is really bugging me.  We have a dog, so I have nothing against dogs.  But if you have a dog, please keep it in your own yard and have it do its business in your OWN lawn!!!  Our dog has a specific place that she does this because I don't want to have to worry about stepping in any piles or the kids stepping in piles, etc.  She has a little fenced in area that she does all this in.  When she's in the front yard where there are no fences, she still stays in our yard.  She knows not to go in the street or run to the neighbors yard.  So I would appreciate it if others would do the same and not let their dogs do their business in my yard!  I just came in from cutting the grass and almost stepped in 4, yes, 4 piles in the front yard that were not from our dog!  I know I am sounding grumpy about this, but seriously, if my dog went in someone elses yard I'd go clean it up.  Oh well...I guess I needed to vent and now I probably sound like a mean and grumpy neighbor.  :(
