Pinewood Derby

The event we dread but the boys LOVE!!!  :)  This was Diego's last year doing the derby and it was Alessandro's first.  They picked the style of car they wanted and went to work with Udine.  They did pretty well in the race and had a great time.  Udine has a great picture of the two of them at the derby on his phone that I need to get, but I'll post that later.  For now, here is what I have.

Soccer

The soccer season has just ended and we had a ton of fun going to games for Luca and Diego.  This was Luca's first year playing and he had an absolute blast.  You can tell it's his first year, but hey, he had fun and that is all that matters.  He even scored a few goals!!  I think he's going to be a left footed kicker.  He always kicked with his left, but he uses his right hand for everything.  Interesting.  Anyway, he was on the same team as his cousins Sam and Packer, and Uncle Ben was the coach.  That made it even more fun for him.

Sam, Packer and Luca.  Three good little buddies.  Sammy is definitely the superstar of the team.  Watching him play is incredible!!  He scores a ton of goals every game and can dribble better than some kids twice his age.  It's fun to watch.   

Diego went to competitive soccer this year and has really enjoyed it.  They didn't win that many games, but for their first year together I think they did really well.  It is so fun for me to watch him play.  Unfortunately I get too into the game so when I take pictures they don't turn out well because I move too much; that is why they are blurry.  And I am so into the game that I forget to take pictures, so I don't have many this time.  I'll do better next season!! He is on the same team as his cousin Cody and he loves that!  They have been playing together for years now and it has been so fun to watch them progress together, and I know Diego loves playing with him.
