Catch up time

In October the kids had crazy hair day at school.  This is what they decided to do for it.

FALL BREAK

The kids had a few days off of school so we decided to do some fun things.  One day we went to Tracy Aviary.  We haven't been there for a few years so it was fun to walk around and see all the birds and to watch the bird show.  During the show the hawk flew so close to my and Mia's heads I swear you could feel it's wings.

We also went to Cornbellys, but I forgot my camera so I have no pictures of it.  :(  It was a blast though.  Ben's family and Emily's family came with us and the kids had a great time.  They had so much more stuff there for my age kids this year so they really enjoyed it.  Usually I'm ready to go after a bit, but this time, we could have stayed and stayed.  We had to leave because they were closing.  Good times. 

Diego got his Webelo award

Diego played flag football for his first time and absolutely LOVED it.  He was on the team with his cousins Cody and Lily and Uncle Peter and Uncle Matt were the coaches.  They were a pretty good team!!  They ended up taking 2nd place!!!

Last weekend we went to a cabin with all the family here.  It has become tradition to do this in November and while there we plan out our holiday schedules to fit in all of our other holiday traditions.  :)  It is always a good time.  Lots of games, lots of food, late night talks, the kids went sledding and enjoyed the hot tub as they had snowball fights while in it, or jumping out, rolling in the snow and hopping back in.  It was funny to watch.  Anyway, we all had a great time!!  But, I failed to bring my camera out, so yet again, I have no pictures to share.  Boo.  (If any of the fam has pictures could you send some my way??)  Thanks!!  :) 

Ok, I think that is it for my mass update.  I hate it when I get behind because I forget all the little details.  Oh well, I guess this is better than nothing!!

Movember

Well, it is that time of year again.  Udine is bringing awareness to mens health by growing a mustache.  Last year I made the mistake of scheduling family pictures in November and he refused to shave for it, so this is what we got.  A nice picture, but every time I look at it I just can't help but shake my head because that thing sticks out soo much!!  Here was last years family picture. 

 

Here are some family photos of this year.  (much better!!)  ;)  I was smart and got them in at the end of October before his mustache was here!!  :)

(I will post a picture of his mustache later, I don't have one right now.  Besides, it's just beginning so it's not super thick yet.  eww) 

Pumpkins

This was the first time in a few years that we had to buy pumpkins.  We didn't do a garden this year, so we had none to pick.  :(  So we only had four pumpkins on our porch.  I have to admit, I missed all my pumpkins!!  That's ok though, next year hopefully we'll have good luck and be able to grow lots!!  Anyway...here is our pumpkin fun this year.

These two cleaned out their whole pumpkins by themselves this year.  Hooray!!  They also made up their own designs and were pretty proud of themselves. 

Luca could not handle the nastiness of the insides.  He was done with cleaning after only a few short minutes.  But I guess that is better than Mia!  She took one look inside and refused to even go near it until it was cleaned out.   

Udine helped carve Luca's....he did Pickles, or what looks like Pickles (our dog) 

Udine made the last pumpkin look like it was throwing up when the boys weren't looking and Luca was so concerned about it when he saw it for the first time.  I had to explain to him that Udine did it.  :) 

I know these have nothing to do with pumpkins, but we also made these "scary eyes" for halloween.  The boys had a blast doing it.

People often ask if these two are twins....they have similarities, but I never thought they looked that much a like.  But with these costumes on I really had to look to see who I was talking to...I kept mixing them up.  :) 

Trick or Treat!! 

We met up with the cousins at Peter's house after trick or treating to see costumes and all that good stuff.
