St. George fun

For spring break we have made a tradition of going to St. George with my siblings and their families.  It never seems to disappoint.  We just love it there.  Where we stay is perfect for the kids.  There is a playground, pool, tennis courts, raquetball courts, basketball hoops, something for everyone.  It's great.  Although, I have to admit, the last two years have been hard to see that my older two boys would rather be with their cousins than hanging out with mom or dad.  Last year was more of a shocker for me with that, I expected it a little more this year.  I'm not surprised, but I guess it is just hard to see your kids grow up and realize that the older they get, the less you are the center of their world.  It's not a bad thing, just a little hard as a mom to watch happening sometimes.  :)  But I am so glad they have such great cousins and are good friends with them.  I wouldn't want it any other way.  We got there Wed afternoon and went swimming shortly after arriving.  On Thursday we went to Snow Canyon, did a little hike and then played in the sand dunes which I think was the kids absolute favorite.  Sand was everywhere when we were done there!!!  On Friday we went to Sand Hollow Reservoir.  We spent the whole day at the beach and got to ride Matt and Jamie's wave runners.  Soo much fun!!  (Udine and I keep saying maybe someday we can get some wave runners!  Maybe someday.  They are our favorite!!)  It was a perfect day.  It was not too hot, but not cold by any means.  The water was absolutely freezing and I have no idea how the kids played in it, but they had a blast!!  On Saturday we went swimming again at the pool.  Along with all those bigger activities...we fit in tennis, racquetball, basketball and playground fun as well.  I love it there!!

SNOW CANYON

Diego is obsessed with catching anything creepy and crawly

More creepy crawly things

THE COOLEST PLAYGROUND EVER
Mia and Anna

Alessandro climbing...what he does best :)

Cute girls
Just watching this made me sick.  Matt would push them and they'd try and stay on....going in circles is not my thing.
Yet another animal to catch...a frog!!

The first night there the boys wanted to sleep like this.  Crazy kids.  Lets just say, before Diego even fell asleep he was on the floor and in the middle of the night Alessandro joined him because "Carter wouldn't share his blanket"  hahaha  I knew something like that would happen.  yes, they are faking in this picture.  :)

SAND HOLLOW RESERVOIR
Christian, Luca and Sam

I LOVE these backside pictures.  Too cute.
Luca kept pouring sand over his head like this.  I'm not sure what he was thinking, but he seemed to enjoy it.
Lily and Alessandro
Udine and Diego.  Diego loved driving the wave runner.  When he was with me he got going so fast that it scared me a bit.  Not because we were going fast, but I don't think I trusted his capabilities to keep it under control at that speed.  So I was a bummer and made him let me drive if we were going to go really fast.
Mia loved it too
Luca was a bit unsure.
Alessandro enjoyed driving it as well.  Except he only liked going at a slow speed.  No big deal though...it's fun to ride both ways.
Diego, PJ and Benji.  Who is going to dip in the freezing cold water the farthest?  :)
He got up the courage, crazy kid!!
Bathing beauties.  The older cousins would pull the younger ones in this boat.  They thought it was the greatest.
Caitlin helping Mia.  Caitlin is such a HUGE help!  She is always helping the little girls and is so good with them.  Mia just adores her.  Send her my way anytime!!!  Love that girl.   :)
hahaha
What a great week!!  Can't wait to go back again!!
